Service Description: STORMTOOLS is a collection of tools designed specifically to map storm inundation along the Rhode Island coast, with and without sea level rise. Data products and reports are available at the Shoreline Change Special Area Management Plan's website:(http://www.beachsamp.org) As part of this work, STORMTOOLS models were used to generate new Base Flood Elevation (BFE) and storm surge surfaces for Rhode Island's South Coast. To avoid confusion with existing FEMA BFE maps, STORMTOOLS refers to these data as "Suggested Design Elevation" (SDE) maps. TYhese TOTAL WATER DEPTH data are served as a single mosaic that contains multiple raster datasets. To work as intended, the display must be “locked” to a specific Image ID limiting the display a single raster at any one time.
